Supras At... Home!
WHAT’S A “SUPRA”?
In case you missed it above, a “supra” is a celebratory feast, featuring tons of food, plenty of wine, and toasts courtesy of a ‘tamada,’ sort of a super-toastmaster in charge of keeping the party going. (See above for the aftermath of a great supra we attended last year in Georgia!)
HOW CAN YOU EXPERIENCE A SUPRA WITHOUT FLYING ALL THE WAY TO TBILISI?
Easy! While we can’t do the “supra at Supra” right now, you can still do a supra of your own with your favorite Georgian dishes. We do the prep. You do the cooking. (Don’t worry. We make it easy, and you can be eating in just about one hour.) Toasts and singing are up to you!
Add some wine, beer, chacha, Georgian-themed cocktails, or Georgian soft drinks to add to the festivities!
(See our take-out menu for beverage options.)
WHAT’S ON THE MENU? WHAT DOES IT COST?
Your home supra is $110 and should feed 4-6. The menu varies, but we will always have two options, one with a vegetarian main course (currently a roasted vegetable Chanakhi) and a chicken or meat-based main course (currently chicken Chkmeruli). View our current menus and cooking instructions for both menus. (Sorry, no substitutions please.) Beverages, additional dishes, or retail items can be added a la carte from our take-out menu.
