WHAT’S A “SUPRA”?

A “supra” is a celebratory feast, featuring tons of food, plenty of wine, and toasts courtesy of a ‘tamada,’ sort of a super-toastmaster in charge of keeping the party going. (See above for a classic painting of a supra by the great Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani. Ours will be a little more informal - and coed!)

HOW CAN YOU EXPERIENCE A SUPRA WITHOUT FLYING ALL THE WAY TO TBILISI (NOT THAT THAT’S NOT A GREAT IDEA)?

Easy! Join us at Supra for one of our regular ‘supra at Supra’ events. As with any good supra, we will have khachapuri, khinkali, and much more (including plenty of vegetarian/vegan options) along with some of our favorite wines to go with the tamada’s toasts.

HOW DO I GET IN ON ONE?

Just buy a ticket! (See below.) Your $140 ticket (plus tax and tip) covers everything for the feast, which usually runs about three hours and includes all food, wine (or non-alcoholic beverages), and desserts. Come with friends and make more at our supra table!

WHEN’S THE NEXT ONE?

Our tamadas are taking the summer off. But don't worry! We'll be back with more Supras at Supra in September. Until then, you can hold your own special dinner, bar event, lunch, or brunch any time: just email events@supradc.com to organize your party at Supra!
